Barking Birds

I watered the veggies, which amazingly enough are not dead—YET. I am still writing a poem a day using the prompt over at Poetic Asides for the April Poem a Day challenge in honor of National Poetry Month. Are you playing? Have you written any poems this month? Hey no need to get snotty, a simple yes or no answer will suffice. Okay so what else did I do today..humm I watched little birdies flitter about the back yard and squirrels barking while they quivered their tails all crazy like and junk.
And then as luck would have it I went off to read some of my dear internets starting off by climbing Jai Joshi’s Tulsi Tree - looking for the cake man, then I was off to Wales to see Digital Gran – and some of her work. I just had to go over and check on the Dream Builders – well cause I want it all baby! And that Bee Repartee – is such a card, when she post that is. Then I settled down to read some Chronicles of an Exhausted Mom – very exciting so I had to go hangout some Down River Drivel – to see how the family is a doing before I headed off to check on Writing Through Rose Colored Glasses – hey she could have posted or did she? Speaking of guys, okay so lets speak of 'em,  let’s check in on My Name is Not Bob – he always has something to say about something or nother, okay so maybe not cause of NPM. Now get out there and see some of my ususal hangouts. My what's hanging out?

Come and get it my dear internets; this little Super Peeps Club thingy is waiting for ya no strings or springs.

Paige, I musta knowed you was at my blog cos I feeled you!

I'm glad your plants are still not dead. Amazing how resilient nature is, especially with that last cold spot we had here in Texas.

You mean I can be in the Super Peeps Club too? Yay!

Uh, no, I have not written a poem today, or yesterday, or the day before...but I have written, so that counts right? Sure it does. :)

Glad to hear your plants are still alive. I've not had time to plant any veggies yet, but we still have a couple of weeks in our area before the "go ahead, it ain't gonna frost" day, (May 10), so maybe I'll get there.

My garden is not doing much of anything. I guess that means I should water it. I hung a hummingbird feeder but have yet to see any. Maybe I am doing something wrong?

Thanks for the mention Paige! The birds must be very cross with that naughty squirrel! But I love the squirrel photo anyway :)

Sounds like a perfect day to me! No poetry as of late. When it hits, it hits.

What a treat lunching with you today, Paige! You are even more of a hoot in person, if that's possible.

I enjoyed it immensely. :-)

That's one great looking bird feeder, I love it! That cute little squirrel loves it too. Those are GREAT pictures of the birds & squirrel.

You gently remind people that you can make the most of every moment wherever you are. Thanks for the timeless glimpse into nature. The photos are lovely.

I am in awe of people who can write poetry (present company especially). Pablo Neruda is my favorite ever.

Your birdies that visit are so colorful. We have squirrels around here, too. You can hear them wailing from the roof ridge, it's pretty funny.

PS. I posted again. Trying to stick to a heavier blogging schedule. We'll see how this works. :)

Wow- you got a cardinal picture! I'm also wondering if that's a squirrel-proof feeder- cause the pic makes it look like the swigy-ride was good, but tough to get the eats-
My blog visiting is now very slow- until I fix my puter problem, but wanna visit all those links- Keep freezing up!
Did write a Twisty Twig poem tho...
