Labor Day

Gosh I been working so hard I almost missed it. The day not the labor. Dooh! So what have I been doing you may ask? Or not ask, matters not so much as I’m gonna tell ya right cheer and now:

Mopping, well steam mopping and before that I

Swept, well the broom did I just pushed it and before that

Dusted, well my nose didn’t like that so before it started to run I

Brushed my hair, well ran my fingers through it and before that

Got a cup of coffee, well Beloved got my coffee but before that I

Did a little paper work, well someone had to do it and before that

Peed, well doesn’t everybody and before that I

Rolled outta bed, well fell out, but so what because before that

Worked on the railroad, well that part was dreamed and before that I

Okay I’ll leave it at the railroad cause really I just took the day off.

So what kind of labor have y’all, my dear internets, been doing? Cooking hot dogs, pulling an all nighter, cleaning up after others... Just what have y’all been doing?

Thanks for the laugh Paige! I can always count on you. Happy Labor Day!

Just got back from Vermont, so I'm resting the ole body today. :-)

Happy Labor Day Paige! Glad to see you are doing the exact same thing as me :) I've done nothing, I'm just now getting around to blogging back around the world.

Other than that I spent several hours yesterday getting two weeks worth of blog posts set up since the in-laws are coming and I'll have less free time.

HA! Happy Labor Day, Paige! Glad to hear you are putting the day to good use. I'm doing laundry and paying bills. I know, I know, I lead an exciting life! I'm sure you can get past the jealousy. ;-)

What a weird and twisted mind you have, Paige. I like it! Thanks for making me laugh again (and again) on my Day of Labor. No kidding, I am/was/will be hot at work editing some business reports my bestest client needs ASAP.

I wasted 4 days getting ready for Hurricanes emergency that petered out just as it got here, Had lovely visit time n BBQ with both daughters n all the grandboys, Now trying to get curtains, rugs, n floors all washed- but my time off is almost over, mowed the lawn, n I also wanna play guitfiddle, paintup some doodads n tinker about with artydoos too.

Well I spent entirely too many hours in the vehicle with my family, not nearly as much fun as it sounds like you had!

To thank you for the pleasure of your words Paige, there's something for you at The Life of a Working Writer Mommy: http://writingwonder.wordpress.com/2010/09/07/international-literacy-day-a-celebration/

What HAVE I been doing? Awesome question. Let's see if I can remember...

-- working on the railroad too, all the live-long day!
-- practiced guitar for 30 seconds a while ago.
-- gazing out at the leaves
-- eating chicken
-- drinking coffee.

And all-nighter!? You up being all artsy again?? :)

xoxo
