Do y’all remember this ugly shed?
Of course you do. It was an out building that night mares were made of…teaming with snakes and rats a hole in the floor right at the doorway waiting to trip anyone, everyone that dared to enter. Did I mention the spiders oh the spiders on tiny thin threads dangling from the ceiling. Brushing your face and making you cringe and say words I will not repeat in this post. And at long last it is gone and a new one has been erected, not on the same spot but nearby. This has opened our back yard up and the new shed is smaller and thereby we will be less inclined to keep crap that we don’t truly need.
Oh it didn’t go up as easy as was expected, some of that may be due to us not being as agile as we once were and some was because they had stupid instructions. I mean really who would put together a floor then the roof trusses? Then the walls and the gables then put the trusses in. Wheew but now it is done.
I had to do a bit of beautification cause that is how I am. We put in a smallish flower bed, incorporating a walk way to get behind the building. Now that is a dark and scary place. Oh remember that stack of bricks that I moved a long time ago and found the copperhead nest, yeah well I moved them one more time. And yes there was a couple of snakes but this time they were regular dead grass snakes. Back to the bricks they now outlines the planting areas and were used for the pathway. I do not; let me repeat that DO NOT want to move those damn bricks ever again.
So whadda y’all think?

Oooh I like it. I need one but it is too hot and I am too lazy to get it done. Maybe you want to pop by and help out?...
Snakes? Did I hear snakes? Dead or alive, I do not want to encounter one.
I like the shed, but I love your little garden and walkway. You did a really nice design job on that.

Zephra, you know it is hot, HOT, H-O-T, and no thank you I’m not doing any more work outside. I just plan on sitting in the shade on the breezeway with the fans going and a cool to icy beverage in my hand…from now to at least September.
Tammy, snakes have an uncanny way of being found by me. I don’t like it and they end up not liking it either.
Jon, thank you. The last week or so I have had a couple of squirrels wrestling around and making nest like divots in the mulch. I need to figure out to put a video of those tree rats on U-Tube. What a good project for this weekend.
Speaking of the weekend---I hope all of you, my dear internets have a very safe and bb que-ish weekend. Fireworks but no fires!
Looks pretty doggone snazzy to me! Now, just figure out a way to stay clear of the snakes or get them to stay way clear of you!
I think they are all gone now, Jeni. Red Bull gave them wings and they flittered away into the wide blue yonder.
Amen
LOVE IT! It's so cute! Very nice1 We SOOO need a shed but....hubby and directions go together like water and oil. lol
That shed will put a lot of value on the property.
We had to have a shed because the garage is full of junk well it does have just room enough for my little car. The important value any thing has is for our own pleasure and convenience.

It's the finest erection I have ever seen! Well, isn't that the proper term? After all you did write...And at long last it is gone and a new one has been erected, not on the same spot but nearby."
But seriously, it is just sooo cute. And wonderful what you did with the landscaping.
I know what you mean about moving brick. For me it has been a pile of limestones, moved at least 3 times. Once day I shall move them no more.
Are you sure you don't need to move those bricks again????
I love the new shed and what you did to the outside. My kids want to know when they can come play in it.
You really did great on that walkway lined with bricks and the flowers. You have such a way of describing that old spider infested building that I wouldn't of dared step inside. I love your writing style, it flows so naturally.
