Lions and tigers and bears! Well not really…
But HOLE E MOLE E it’s next month already.
Thanks for missing me y’all, my dear internets. I have been
busy. Duh, right?
BTW It is now officially the Dog Days of Summer. Super
Crap-ol’la as if it hasn’t been hot enough around here now here we are in our
HOT and DRY season.
We have had several people knock on the door asking about
the Solar. It has saved us $$$$$. I say that even thought this last electric
bill was up…well I did run the AC in the studio almost every day. But I hate
having to pay over $40 dollars now. I mean WOW the “fuel sur-charge” was like $28.
It ain’t right I tell ya.
It is soo hot here that the milk turns to cottage cheese
before we get home. It’s okay you may laugh if you so desire.
Speaking of cottage cheese. Oh my goodness in the month of
July I bought the following items, which I seldom buy…
Cottage Cheese
Sour Cream
Ground Turkey
Guess what the Cottage Cheese was recalled! The sour cream
was recalled! And now maybe even the ground turkey will be recalled!!! I feel
like such a crazy a$$ because I already ate the Cottage Cheese, most of the
Sour Cream and feed the Ground Turkey to my family! Oh, here’s the good news We
survived.

ha glad you survived...the heat has been crazy!!
I heard about the turkey but not cottage cheese and sour cream. Wow, it's getting ridiculous how much food is recalled nowadays. I'm glad you all survived! And here's hoping some whacko thing happens with the weather and it snows on y'all tomorrow. :)
So glad you all survived! :D
This summer has really been one for the record books hasn't it! Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi! Happy Thursday to you, Paige.
Heat and humidity out here in what's supposed to be the cooler mountain region of central Pennsylvania have been pretty wicked for the past 2-3 weeks. Thinking back though to this past winter and all the bitching I did almost daily about the snow and ice and then, throughout March, April and especially May, when we had beaucoup rain -not nice warmish spring rain but cold, really miserable nasty chill you to the bone rain and I have come to the conclusion that I think I do like summer just a tad better than winter anyway -heat and humidity rampant -after all! Well, at least I'm not going to bitch too much about it cause it obviously isn't going to last quite as long as those snow, ice and rain filled days did!
you are too funny!
Yay! Paige is alive!!!
I just heard 38 days in a row triple digits! I DO believe the Al Gore video myself-
My idea for the store would be to bring a cooler to the market to get the goods home. I'm sure ice cream is instant melt off too...
I can't believe all that food got recalled! I only heard about the Turkey- I usually get ground Chicken myself- but always take a temp reading n over cook it.
One of my faves in the heat are those big tubs of store brand low-fat yogurt. Get it plain, n dish it with fruit preserves (jelly). So good n cheap! I like Smuckers Northwoods Blueberry preserves in it best. mmmm now I'll go eat some. you can also make frozen pops with it.
Electric "fees" are 50% more on this summers usuage. Now about $150 per month-
That's cheap for your AC. I only have fans, n we're doing foggy, hot humidity tonight.
Paige, your posts are always a breath of fresh air. (You're so funny!)
In My state, where we have had a full week of sunshine, I mean, day after day of beautiful sun for a WEEK...Im not sure that solar thingy would work. But I won't say I am a tad jealous at the size of your bill. And a tad amazed.
I'm sorry your eating recalled food. Is that like going to a foreign land and eating mysterious food winch may or may not be monkey brains? You just proved that "if you don't know what it is, it won't hurt you."
How has your summer been? Missed you!!!
