A cousin of mine lives in a suburb of Austin and said she is about 15 miles from one of the fires. Thankfully, she was back east over the past weekend and I had not one, but two opportunities to visit a bit with her. Funny thing though, when they left

Glad you finally got a little rain. maybe autumn will be easier on all those crispy dry places-
We've tons of new firewood for the woodstoves around here lately too- most of it hard wood Maple n Oak. If I had a buzz saw I'd be going to town making piles to season, n maybe made into furniture. n sculpture.
