Well, well

WELL: The new season of True Blood started this past Sunday night and we were glued to our seats like vampires to a fresh neck…

WOW, I tell ya it was almost like a stake in the heart (of sorts) SPOILER ALERT (of sorts)

Bam -- Sookie had gone to this magical place, a place that was a big, no a huge time suck. She got away by jumping off a cliff, ok so her assumed dead grand daddy pushed her and she landed in the old cemetery. Stuff happened people lived their lives in what for Sookie was 10 – 15 minutes in that magical place was 13 months for the fine, if not twisted, folks of Bon Temps.

Whole E Mole E, there were all these unanswered questions now hanging in the thick night air. What about this and what about that and OMG why is Tommy with Hoyt’s momma? Are they “together” And what happened to the Queen of Louisiana. (did Bill introduce her to the True Death) And Sam hanging out with a group of horses and LaFayette joining in a wicca circle and Jason a cop? Now the Tara, err – know known as Toni, thang did not surprise me. See this is why is it was sort of a stake in chest. We, expected answers or at the bare minimum a continuation of the ongoing story lines from Season 1, 2 & 3. Remember when the show Dallas had killed Bobby Ewing and they opened a new season with Pam (his wife) waking up to find that it had all been a dream. Yeah sorta like that, but with a twist of lime in the coconut...

And why I think this was the best thing to do for this show…Season 1, 2 and 3 were all done as if the story lines were only taking place over a matter of weeks (maybe a few months). For example poor Andy Bellefleur had his arm in a cast almost the entire 2nd season and all of the 3rd and I expected him to still have it for a show or 2 for this 4th season. And because they (writers / producers / not to mention newer technology) needed to bring the show into current time.

So I forgive them for making me wait to find out in blips of memory and flash backs what happened in the 13 months of Sookie’s magical time travel.

And my photo to go with this is outta the blue blood post…

Motorcycle Kids

and the price of gas

So my dear internets I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how expensive gas is, y’all know. Now due to the price lots of people have switched to riding motorcycles, which is working well for them here these days as we have no rain to worry about. Oh did I mention that motorcycles are cheaper than cars or trucks and AND the insurance on them is way cheaper too.

No I have not gone out and gotten a bike, although no, no, but I have been seeing women riding driving them and they seem very pleased. Oh I know some of y’all are hard fast believers that it’s a man’s vehicle, but I’m one of those people that believe If a man can do it, So can a woman. That’s not to say I that I think they should. Hey don’t shoot me. I think that there are some things that men can do easier, maybe even better, because they are physically built for it and likewise for women.

But back to the motorcycles, when an accident happens with a bike, it is serious even little spills can be very serious. That is why riders should wear helmets. Helmets keep the brains off the pavement. NO! I am not gonna get in a helmets / no helmets argument with y’all, it’s my opinion and as I guess I have to remind y’all…This here is Paradise Valley and WE are the Queen and we may speak as we please, without any back talk comments.

Why am I posting about this, I’m sure you are wondering…Well let me show you (I know blurry, but we were all going about 55 MPH)

 See, the driver has no helmet the rider has no helmet, heck she is even wearing a skirt. Which truthfully is what caught my eye the other day anyway. LOL No her skirt didn’t go flying up, that would have been funny (for moi). But No NO NO -- it was the little thing she had between her legs that upset me. Oh here is a cropped in view.

Can y’all, my dear internets, see that? The little bare knee sticking up, the hand gripped onto the driver’s black leather vest.

Is this legal?

Prior to September 1, 2009 there was no minimum age, height or weight requirement. HB537 passed in the 81st Legislative Session and it requires a passenger be at least five years old. No changes were made to helmet requirements: if under 21 years old a passenger must still wear a helmet, if over 21 years old a passenger can ride without a helmet if the driver meets the helmet exemption requirements.
For more information on passengers, visit: Texas Transportation Code and read Chapter 545 Section 416.
For more information on the helmet law and exemptions, visit: Texas Transportaion Code and read Chapter 661 Section 003.
Yes I was horrified! Yes the child appeared to have a helmet on…

But it sure looked like a Bicycle helmet and NOT a motorcycle helmet to me. And just an FYI you can only have 1 passenger legally on a motorcycle

Oh well, I guess children are replaceable. Right?

Humm Funny

To us everyone is fair game. I know y’all know what I mean by that…but just in case let me splain it. It being people watching (of sorts) Yeah, I knew you knew what I meant. You sit and watch people think about errr talk about what you see. Discuss how hungry their pants are and wonder why they are still wearing white socks with river shoes (a type of sandal) and tight…I means super tight clothes. No guessing how many rolls some people eat when all ya have do it count ‘em. Right, hey stop looking at me and pointing. It is bad manners to point, remember that!

So what I was gonna tell ya involves initials. Yes the first letter of your names, first – middle- 2nd middle – last (I have a son with a couple of middles) But this post is not about him, close though. It’s about one of his sisters. As it turns out their initials have meaning, check it out

CMA = County Music Awards

ERA = Equal Rights Administration

DNA = Deoxyribonucleic Acid

MRLA = Maltese Rugby League Association

KGEA = Kelly Green Evangelistic Association

AMA = American Mortgage Association

And there y’all have it Laughter the bestest medicine and family all rolled up in one shiny package. So tell me your funny initials or at least tell me some kind of people watching story…lalala you can even make up a story about what you think other people think about you when they are people watching.

Come on spill the beans all over your lap and make me laugh, oh my dear internets YOU can do it!

Yard Cat

First I think it’s a female

Second it does not appear to be with kittens

Third kittens so better NOT show up

Forth the dang thing is growing on me

Fifth Beloved just named it – Merlotte*

Oh my dear internets what am I to do? The whole reason we have not had any pets for a couple of years is because we really enjoy just hopping in the car and going on road trips and vacations and junk like that. And as all of y’all that do have pets know…you just can’t take off when ever ya want.

Hey maybe I’ll get lucky and the freaky weird cat will leave of its own accord. Stop laughing and cut out that snickering too, IT could happen. So what kinda cat is this besides a lucky yard cat?

Remember I told ya it had deep blue eyes

*Um, the name Merlotte is from the HBO series True Blood, WE LOVE that show! Anywho Sam Merlotte (who is a shifter) owns the town bar (beer joint / lounge / restaurant) called Merlotte’s. It is pronounced Mer Lot, not Mur Low like the wine. And speaking of the friendly Vamps, Wares, Shifters & Fairies the new season (#4) is set to begin on June 26. So you know where I’ll be on that day at 8pm Central Standard Time. We talked (briefly) about having a bloody party, but No way am I sharing my sofa, Oreo Fudge Cremes OR Choco Tacos with a bunch of noisy people when the first episode of True Blood starts. I’m just saying.

EDIT : I know y'all better still be having commenting issues cause I would hate not like to think you are ignoring me or just don't care any more.

It's Official...no really

Stephen Book has gifted, awarded if you will, upon me this super & duper Cool E Oh award The Versatile Blogger. I am both honored and happy to get this. Thank you Stephen.

See isn’t it neat O looking? All vibrant and green with a yellow flower and secretly type journaling in the background. I love it! <3

Let’s explore this shall we…

The – used before a noun, with a specifying or particularizing effect, as opposed to the indefinite or generalizing force of the indefinite article a or an. (meaning use the word “the” IF you don’t use the words “a” or “an” If you already knew this just disregard “the” xplanation.

Versatile – capable of or adapted for turning easily from one to another of various tasks, fields of endeavor, etc.: a versatile writer. (adjective) Lalala yes that’s me and here I thunk I was an eclectic type of person. Haha I will change to versatile as it sounds sane as opposed to eclectic – insane. What say y’all my dear internets?

Blogger – owner of a blog; Blog a web site containing the writer’s (moi) own experiences, observations, opinions, etc., and often having images (photographs) and links (see side bar) to other web sites (blogs of my dear internets) this word is both a noun and a verb. Well how do y’all like that? I like it very well…

and I say Ta Da even the dictionary knows I’m a writer on my blog of various things.

I want to thank Stephen again for such Grand Award {ducks head / shuffles feet} shucks {big a$$ smile}. Because now it really, I mean REALLY is official I AM A WRITER, like it or not world! The dictionary says so.

Did I give y'all a link to Power Burns & Bullets and just so y'alls know he is a Super & Duper Versatile writer too...be sure to check out his multi-genre #FridayFlash stories.

BTW: happy birthday to my oldest Baby Girl!

Last Weekend

So there we were reveling in the afterglow of graduation (I know how many times can I bring it up?) and the beginning of a long weekend…

Oh what to do; go somewhere? Sure why not, on Friday once all the sleepy heads got up and I had put a layer of stuff on a WIP (work in progress) I convinced them we simply had to go to the Fine Arts Museum. I had a free ticket for two and we weren’t doing anything else. Come let’s go fill our eyes with some culture. Bless their (& mine) poor ol’ tuckered out legs, oh but wow my head was filled with eye candy.

On Saturday we lounged and I made my little family accompany me on a trip to Michaels…I had a coupon for 20% off and they were having their canvas sale of 50% off. Bam ah Lam my dear internets what a savings.

On Sunday we lounged and then went over for a BBQ at a young friend’s home, he had just gotten married on the prior Monday. I took a pot of beans and it was hot and it was fun and it was HOT. The BBQ turned into a Crawfish boil (el yuck-o) So I ate beans…my family is still laughing their crazy a$$es off. Okay so maybe it is funny’ish.

On Monday we didn’t have cable TV so my Beloved was a bit bored and we lounged a bit then headed out in the heat to goof around. Went to the movies and saw the new Pirates in 3D. It was okay’ish. What I mean to say it is NOT horrible. Umm 3 thumbs up (outta 6)

A week or so ago we went and saw Priest, save your monies it wasn’t so good…maybe 1 thumb up because it got us outta the house.

And that’s it for today. How are things at your house? I hope y’all are doing well and enjoying your beginning of summer or for those down under the beginning of fall / winter.

Stay happy & live well take a minute to stop and smell the roses and if you don’t have any you can smell mine…

PS - I have been unable to leave comments on some of y'all's blogs. I hope the issue will be fixed soon. I'm reading y'all my dear internets even if I can't say so. {hugs}
